From API schemas to org-wide context
Appear started from a simple observation: API schemas and documentation were still largely manual, error-prone, and out of date. We had lived that problem from both sides — in the teams responsible for the APIs, and in the trade-off between technical debt and customer value.
We built an introspector-agent platform to discover real API behaviour, keep OpenAPI and JSON Schema accurate, and feed reliable contracts to engineers and AI agents. That work taught us the constraint was larger than APIs. Agents fail when they lack the rest of the organisation's knowledge: code, ADRs, skills, issues, docs, outages.
